Humberto Brenes was born on 8th May I the year 1951. He is a professional poker player and has got several prizes for the game. The world class player began his career in early seventy’s. At that time Humberto Brenes played baccarat and gambled with that game. After a few years he got interested into poker games and started playing tournaments.

From the year 1974 he stepped into the World of Poker Tournaments and stopped petty gambling by playing baccarat. When he first started with the poker games it was not easy for him to understand all the strategies and the planning of the game. Humberto Brenes devoted the maximum time of each day in learning the game properly and he was very much serious about the betterment of his playing skills.

The more he played the more he learned about the game. He took almost 14 years to make himself a master of that game. In the year 1988 he has established himself as a regular poker tournament player.

After this stage he took part in the worldwide poker competitions and established a record that proves his efficiencies on the casino game. He got two bracelets in the World Series of Poker Tournaments. He made three final tables in the world poker tour. He got one bracelet for 1993 World Series of Poker in No Limit Texas Hold’em.

The second bracelet he secured was also in that year in the World Series of Poker in pot limit Omaha. This world class tournament takes place at Las Vegas in every year. Humberto Brenes got the place of the player who secured the highest number of money finishes in 2006 World Series of Poker Tournament. For this place he joined hands with the famous poker professional Phil Hellmuth Jr. in the year 2002 he won $502,460 for securing the first place in World Poker Open tournament.

Humberto Brenes is a member of the famous Team Poker Star. His nick name is the shark because he uses toy sharks as card protectors. He is a nice man with a nice dress sense. He is one of the most popular poker players of the world.
