Josh Arieh is a professional poker player that has had television channels cover his play for telecasting including . The Discovery Channel, ESPN and The Travel Channel, etc.

Josh Arieh was born 26th September in the year 1974 in Rochester, a city in the New York State. He is in the Poker World from 1999. He took part in the 1999 World Series of Poker and after winning that tournament he became a name in the poker world. He lives in Atlanta presently with his wife Angela Arieh and their three children. Josh Arieh started playing poker before few years he won the first Poker Bracelet. Josh admitted that when he played poker at the younger age he did not think that he would be a professional player.

When he started playing poker, he often became the winner in the tournaments. He is fond of sports. He is often seen in Waialai Country Club where he is found very busy in shooting golf. This sporting event is one of his favorite when he concentrates on playing outside the casino.

At the table Josh Arieh is very aggressive player. People say that he is such a player who is very uncouth. His rudeness is one of his characteristic features. But it is true that his words are very much professional and he also admits that when he is at the poker table he is there just to earn money.

If some one thinks that he is there to make good friends, he is misunderstanding this professional poker player. He is a member of Team Bodog. Josh Arieh is regularly available at the Playing Card room of Bodog’s online poker table.

Josh Arieh is the champion of 1999 World Series of Poker tournament. He won in $3,000 limit hold’em in that tournament. He secured the champion’s bracelet in this tournament. He got the prize money of $202,800 in 1999 world championship. After six years of this great achievement Josh made another history in the world of poker. He secured his second bracelet in the year 2005.

This year he took part as the previous years in World Series of Poker and he wins in $2,000 pot limit Omaha in the tournament. He wins $381,600 in the 2005 World Series of Poker. In 2007 the total earning from the live tournaments of this professional player reaches the limit of $3,700,000.

The time in between Josh Arieh got the two bracelets he has received many other awards. He got nine prizes in poker tournaments in the year 2000. He secured the 2nd place in the 31st Annual World Series of Poker and won $89,700 as prize money.

He also secured the 3rd position in the Tournament of Champions and won $71,820 in that year. In 2003 he won $52,986 for securing the 2nd place in 2003 Five Diamond-WPT Season 2. Josh Arieh is the latest winner in the Wynn Poker Classic tournament. He won in the last preliminary event.
